NEC Autumn Fair 08 Diary – Days 1 & 2

The feedback has been great!

As you know this is a trade show so pieces aren’t sold directly off the stand to people. Many of the visitors to the stand love the colour, variety and especially the uniqueness of the art work. Everybody’s work has been admired and received excellent comments.

As at the end of today we have started conversations for exhibitions with four galleries in England including one located near London Bridge. We have also taken an order for some of Adrienne’s work and have our first trade account customer. Despite this being a trade show, a good number of people are interested in buying pieces for themselves. We are expecting some orders to come through from individuals after the show, if the pieces they are interested in have not already been ordered.

Things are pretty tough over here at the moment thanks to the credit crunch and many of the stands around us say this is the toughest show they have ever been to. For us, however, it has been a good start. There are two days to go and apparently the ‘big guns’ are typically at this show on the Tuesday.

We are going to keep working hard and are optimistic about the next couple of days.
