The South Pacific Art Company (SPA) supplied art work, leant their light boxes and helped with the set up for the inaugural charity art auction held last Friday.
Worthing is in West Sussex, England, and each year its Mayor selects a set of charities they work to raise money for during their tenure. Christine Brown, the current mayor, supports Scope, Action Aid, Stray Cats Youth Centre and Friends of the Museum. Three of Katie Brown’s blown glass Gourds were sold with part of the proceeds going the charity fund.
“We were really pleased to support the auction”, says Angela Albiston SPA Director. “Worthing is the UK home of the company and the town is very supportive of what we are working to establish. If they run an auction again next year we would love to be involved again.”
